Catch the Wave
The SoCal automotive social calendar is always brimming with events, and with summer firmly behind us, the number of meets, shows and drives is positively mind-boggling.
However, when we got invited to Sunday’s Catch the Wave - a charity meet and drive to help feed the homeless - we made it a point to attend. The Single Cab and LCP 912 racecar were roused and off we went to foggy Redondo Beach. The parking lot in front of Trader Joe’s was the set location and it was full of bugs, buses and everything in between, spanning a wide time period.
The drive was scheduled to end at Brouwerij West at the Port of Long Beach, with a couple stops. Leaving the first stop however, the Single Cab decided that it wasn’t going to go much further without a full stomach and we decided to take the hint and follow suit, stopping for brunch.
All in all, a very enjoyable Sunday morning with the classic VW aircooled scene.
